Seacoast Staycation: What To Do With Your Kids This April Break

Staying local this April Break? Need to keep those kids busy? Don’t stress, I have plans for you!

All Week Long!

Baby Animals at Strawbery Banke. During April break the animals are in town to visit! Cost: Free for Members, Adults — $10, Kids 3 — 17 — $5, Under 3 — Free!
Blitz Air Park! — Monday — Thursday, Open Jump from 10 a.m. — 7 p.m. Friday, Toddler Time from 10 a.m. — noon. Cost: $17/hr + $3 reusable socks.
Children’s Museum of NH — Open all week from 10 a.m. — 5 p.m. Cost: $10, under 1 — Free!
Rumble Tumble — Public Play, 10 a.m — 3 p.m. Cost: Age 1 — $6, Age 2 — $8, Ages 3 — 10 — $10.
Seacoast United in Hampton is open from 9 a.m. — 2 p.m. Cost: $5 pp or $8 per family.
Seacoast Science Center — Open daily 10 a.m. — 5 p.m. Cost: Ages 13 & up — $10, ages 3 — 13 — $5, under 3 — Free!
Rye Airfield — Open daily 12 p.m. — 9 p.m. — Cost: non-members $14, members $10.
Hike it Baby — Check throughout the week of April break as hikes get posted. There is a 3 month free membership to sign up on their website! Also check out their local Facebook page.

10 a.m. — Classic Mini Movies at the Portsmouth Public Library Ages 3 — 7. Cost: Free!
12 p.m. — Lunch Bunch at Portsmouth Atlantic Gymnastics. Kids can burn off some energy with 30 minutes of gym play and then 30 minutes to eat lunch with new friends! (Please bring a nut free lunch) ages 18 mos — 5. Cost: $5 members/$8 non-members.
1 p.m. — Story Time at the Portsmouth Public Library. Ages 3 — 5 with an adult. Cost: Free!

9:30 a.m. — 11:30 a.m. — Rye Airfield Pre-K Sesh — Kids can bring their favorite cars, trucks, and balls, or use the ones provided. Scooters and scoot bikes are a blast too! Cost: $5 for the whole family!
9:30 a.m. — Toddler Time at the Portsmouth Public Library. Ages 2 — 3 with an adult. Cost: Free!
10 a.m. — 11 a.m. — Children’s Museum of NH- Planting a 3 Sisters Garden. Learn about planting a vegetable garden and the science behind it! Free with admission.
10:30 a.m. — Lap Time at the Portsmouth Public Library. Ages 0 — 2 with an adult. Cost: Free!
10:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. — Firefly Pottery April break vacation camp! Make a glass birds nest out of thin strips of glass and beautiful glass eggs! Open to all ages, but little ones should have a parent stay with them. Call to sign up! (603) 431-7682 Cost: $20.
11 a.m. — Barnes and Noble Story time and Craft.
3 p.m. — Movie: Monster Trucks at the Portsmouth Public Library. All ages. Cost: Free!

9:30 a.m. — Lap Time at the Portsmouth Public Library. Ages 0 — 2 with an adult. Cost: Free!
10:30 a.m. — Toddler Time at the Portsmouth Public Library. Ages 2 — 3 with an adult. Cost: Free!

11 a.m. — Magic Fred at the Children’s Museum of NH. Enjoy watching a magic show while you take a break from playing! All ages. Cost: Free with admission!

10 a.m. — Groove and Grow at the Sonatina Center. Kids can learn to sing, dance, listen, and play with instruments! Ages 12 months — 4 years with caregiver. Cost: $12. Register online or call.
10:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m. — Firefly Pottery April break vacation camp! Use clay to create and mold your own birds nest and eggs. Paint it that day, or fire it first and come back for another fun activity! Open to all ages, but little ones should have a parent stay with them. Call to sign up! 603-431-7682 Cost: $20.
10:30 a.m. — 1 p.m. FoodWorks with Hannaford: Taste the World, at the Children’s Museum of NH. Kids can enjoy trying tasty and healthy treats while they take a break from playing! Cost: Free with admission!
