The 10th Annual Seacoast Mom & Baby Expo is this Saturday, October 22, at the Regatta Banquet and Conference Center on Route 236 in Eliot, Maine from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.!
The Seacoast Mom & Baby Expo is my favorite day of the year. For me, this day is better than the first day of school, Christmas, and my birthday. Seriously! I’m a postpartum doula and prenatal yoga teacher, so the Expo is a chance to catch up with former clients and prenatal yoga students to see how much their babies have grown.
I truly love all aspects of my job. But I feel particularly lucky to live on the Seacoast where we have such a phenomenal variety of local resources for new moms.
On the day of the Seacoast Mom & Baby Expo, I host all these wonderful resources in the same room. This is a fantastic opportunity for moms and moms-to-be to learn about all the local businesses and services that are available here.
This event is not only informative, it’s also so much fun! Enjoy a toddler play area sponsored by G.Willikers! Toy Shop, free face painting in the Convenient MD booth, along with free samples, coupons, and the chance to win tons of amazing raffle prizes. The Nursing Nook, sponsored by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, is perfect for parents and babies who need a break from the busy show floor. This is also an ideal space for feeding and changing babies.
Don’t forget to check out the Seminar Room, sponsored by York Hospital, where free seminars and mom and baby yoga classes will be running all day. Learn information about pumping and going back to work, prenatal massage, and also check out the birth and postpartum doula Q&A. Don’t forget to relax with a Peace Baby Yoga or Little Family Yoga class from ChildLight Yoga! Jadd from Z107.1 will be broadcasting live from 10 a.m. to noon, and the Stonyfield Organic Yogurt truck will roll in from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with free yogurt for the kids!
