Getting Organized With Real Organized and How It Can Change Your Life!

You know that feeling when you walk into your home and there are piles of papers on the counter, shoes on the floor, and a plethora of other random things strewn about? Chaos – for me it feels like chaos. This may not be your life, but it certainly is mine. Now think back to a time when you walked into your home and there was a place for everything, the counters were cleaned off, and the chaos of disorganization was gone. If this has happened for you (it doesn’t happen often for me!) then you know the peace of mind and sense of calm that comes with it.

“Women’s stress levels are directly proportional to the amount of stuff in their homes. By holding onto expired food, clothes that no longer fit, old mail, and water bottles with missing lids, you’re not just cluttering your physical space, but also cluttering your mind. These unused items require you to subconsciously keep track of them, adding unnecessary stress to your life. We can guide you on how to effectively combat clutter and regain control of your home and your peace of mind!” – Real Organized

There is something I realized since becoming a mom. I feel better when my house is organized. With the mental load us moms tend to carry having the house organized can make our lives much easier. But how do we get there without spending hours of time going through the things we have accumulated and the patterns that we created?

Real Organized, that’s how!

Because we moms can’t do it all and more importantly, we shouldn’t, we can outsource it. Real Organized is locally owned by two fabulous women, Jill and Tanner. These two can not only organize your home but transform your life. I know first-hand how true this is because they came and organized just one small part of my home and it has made a world of difference in our family’s day-to-day life.

You may be wondering what exactly do they do? Great question…

What is Home Organization?

“Home organizing begins with decluttering which is a process we guide you through to determine what items in your home you wish to keep and what items no longer serve you. Clutter often feels overwhelming, so we provide you with encouragement, compassion and coaching. We then work to create organizational systems and solutions that are personalized to your lifestyle and increase efficiency as well as happiness in your home.” – Real Organized

Working with Real Organized

First you will have a video consult with both Jill and Tanner. Getting on the same page with what you want to get out of your new organized space(s) is so helpful for your life and family flow.

After the video consult, they will ask you to follow up with photos or a video of the space(s) that you would like organized. By seeing the space before starting they can get an idea of what’s in there, what you use it for (if it’s not obvious), and if any products would optimize organizing it.

Then comes the decluttering process. This is when Jill and Tanner will come to your home and go through the space pulling everything out. Jill and Tanner make this process seamless and very much worth it even though it can be overwhelming. Seeing everything you have out in one place is so helpful and even better if you can bring yourself to part with some items.

Then starts the real magic – organizing everything into groups and putting it back in a system that works for you and your family. They will even bring along products to help with the organization. As they work, they make sure that the space is more functional for you and your family.

My Experience

Truthfully, I’m not very organized. Like I mentioned above, since becoming a mom I have realized the benefit of having less stuff and having the things we do own be more organized. So, when I started working with Real Organized I had a few goals in mind. The space I had them organize for me was my pantry. This is a space that seems to be in constant use by my family and no matter how much I organize it, it just never seemed to work for us.

Jill and Tanner came into my home, and we worked through the depths of my pantry together. They thought of ways to organize that I never would have. They were able to see functionality that I did not. Not once did I feel overwhelmed or embarrassed about my 5-year-old expired spices and baking ingredients. They truly wanted this space to work better for our family. Mission accomplished! I no longer have clutter or items that get lost in the back of my pantry. It is a space that is more user friendly for my kids. They have access to the millions of snacks they eat a day, so they don’t have to come and find me to ask. Huge mom win!
