I'm a full-time freelance writer specializing in the outdoor industry, environmental issues, and eco-tourism with bylines at Matador Network, 5280 Magazine, The Denver Post, and REI Co-op Journal. Prior to my work as a writer, I spent over a decade as an ecologist for state and federal agencies giving me a unique perspective when writing stories about the outdoors. After exploring the Rocky Mountains for 9 years, I now live in southern New Hampshire with my husband, 4 year old son, and geriatric blue heeler.
