Taking Root Nature and Mindfulness Wellness Series:
Taking Root offers a Nature Based and Social Emotional Learning enrichment. In these sessions students will gain tools to build resilience in the areas of self-confidence, body awareness, self-regulation, self-control, regulate nervous system & reduce stress and anxiety. Sessions will include discussions on how to apply what they learn to help students at home, school, and with friends.

About the Instructor: Kaitlin Muller-Cusack, M.Ed., B.S Environmental Science, science educator in the Portsmouth School system, Trauma-Informed Registered Yoga Teacher, and founder of Taking Root. She holds a New Hampshire Experienced Educator License and has experience working with students with varying challenges including learning differences, mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression, and executive functioning challenges. Kaitlin is CPR, Youth Mental Health First Aid, and Wilderness First Aid trained. Kaitlin lives on the Seacoast of New Hampshire with her husband Collin and their dog Maverick! When Kaitlin is not teaching she is outside hiking/camping, paddle boarding, surfing, or snowboarding with her pup, friends and family!
What to bring: Students should bring their own yoga mat, reusable water bottle, comfortable clothes, and shoes for walking in the woods to class.
