I can’t believe it’s time to go back to school. While I’m ready to stop being a cruise director for my kids, I’m overwhelmed at the hustle and bustle of back to school time. The wake-ups, the endless lunch packing (they need a lunch every day, guys!), the laundry, the sports schedule, and then DINNER. Just like lunch, dinner is expected every night. Rude.
While meals are pretty standard in our house all year round (yes, I do feed my kids I’m just not always very happy about doing it), the back to school time feels pressure-filled. September is a busy time for work, school, and sports and making sure we eat well is honestly really important. We need proper fuel to make it through the day.
I’m calling in my favorite resource: Feast & Fettle.
This local meal delivery service shows up at my door and metaphorically wraps me in a blanket, tells me everything was going to be okay, and braids my hair while letting me watch Bridgerton for the 7th time. It is my emotional support meal delivery service. I have to restrain myself from hugging the person who delivers our food because 1) He’s a busy guy and has other food to deliver and 2) showing physical affection to strangers is weird.
How does it work?
Feast & Fettle is super easy to use. You pick your food options (choosing sides, entrees, snacks, and more) by Saturday at noon for delivery the following week. I have been a customer for over a year. Just ask anyone who knows me because I talk about it ALL THE TIME. I am a Feast & Fettle evangelist walking around trying to convert people. Let me show you the way to glory, I have a coupon code!
While you don’t have to be a member (it’s $10/month if you are), I recommend it. You can either pick a plan (i.e. 2 entrees and 4 sides a week) or order a la carte. My family tends to do a la carte because I like to do 2 entrees, 2 sides (always the salads, they’re so good) and then a few breakfast or snack things. This week, I opted for the Hibiscus Margarita Mixer because I am no dummy. It’s amazing and pairs great with Casamigos. I end up spending between $75 and $150 a week and get 2 dinners and some lunches out of it.
What’s the food like?
Honestly, really good. We always like the shrimp options, go nuts for the Chinese beef and broccoli, and have never had a pork chop we didn’t like. The sides are plentiful and go a LONG way.
We love our food from Feast & Fettle. Every time.
How much work is it to prepare once it arrives?
Feast & Fettle food comes fully cooked and requires minimal preparation. Our entrees and sides required reheating in the oven, like 8 minutes at 350 degrees on a baking sheet. It was a piece of cake and frankly, I couldn’t believe everything was really ready to eat after such a small amount of work.
Would I recommend this meal delivery service?
Without hesitation. Now, I know it’s really tricky when people are paid by companies to write reviews on their products. How do you know they’re being honest? All I can say is try it for yourself. You’ll see that I speak the truth– this company is rad. Their food is amazing. They make my life easier, especially during back to school time.
Feast & Fettle serves the souther regions of NH and ME, most of MA (even Martha’s Vineyard), CT, parts of NJ and NY, and RI.
Feast & Fettle should be your new go-to gift for new parents or families in crisis. And sometimes “crisis” means back to school!
Giving someone a gift card to this meal delivery service means that they get to decide what their family eats. Feast & Fettle allows you to select your meals from an awesome menu. Then, they show up and deliver it to your door.
Think about giving a gift card when a friend of yours loses someone close to them. Or if their baby is in the NICU. Or if they’re overwhelmed and sick of being a superhero.
Feast & Fettle can help all year round.
One could simply order Feast & Fettle on the regular. I do! Again, just ask anyone who interacts with me because I have told them about it. I’m not subtle. Order things like egg salad to take to work or a few entrees to make the dinnertime hour a little less crazy. Sometimes, outsourcing things can make a huge impact on your mental health.
