8 Seacoast Farms that are Ripe for Berry Picking Season!

June has arrived, and it’s almost time for berry picking season! The Seacoast region has some amazing locally-grown strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries that are ripe and ready to pick in time for summer. It’s a favorite family activity for all ages! The season for strawberries is typically mid- to late- June, while raspberry season typically starts in early July, and blueberry season in mid-July.

Here are eight pick your own berry farms on the New Hampshire Seacoast:

1. Hickory Hill Farm

Hours:

2. Applecrest Farm

4. Saltbox Farm

What they offer: Pick your own raspberries and blueberries. There is also a farm stand with a variety of local produce and peonies for sale.

Hours: Open every day except Monday during berry picking season. The farm stand is open now, Friday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What they offer: Pick your own strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, apples, peaches, tomatoes, and pumpkins. There is also an on-site farm store with freshly harvested produce, baked goods, and more.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

It’s always a good idea to check a farm’s Facebook page or call ahead to see when their berries are ready for picking, or if they are all picked for the season. Each farm’s hours and fruit availability vary according to on Mother Nature.

After you have all the fun of picking (and sampling) the berries, it’s time to make some berry delicious meals and snacks!
