The Caterpillar Lab will return to Bedrock Gardens for Father’s Day weekend on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, 10AM – 4PM. Kids, teens, and adults will all enjoy learning about these fascinating and beautiful insects: what they eat, how they metamorphosize, and how they survive out in the wild. See living caterpillars of all shapes and sizes in close detail under a microscope, find out which ones might live in your own backyard, and go on a caterpillar hunt through Bedrock Gardens.
About the Caterpillar Lab
Founded by Samuel Jaffe in 2015, the Caterpillar Lab fosters greater appreciation and care for the complexity and beauty of our local natural history through live caterpillar educational programs, citizen science research initiatives, and photography and film projects. They believe that an increased awareness of one’s local environment is the foundation on which healthy and responsible attitudes towards the broader natural systems of this world is built. You can learn more about them at www.thecaterpillarlab.org.
